Program Objectives

的 BSCS program prepares students to enter and thrive in software development, computer science, and related professions and graduate programs. Students are exposed to the basis of computer science in mathematics, 逻辑, and 工程 as well as the experimental and design aspects of the computer science discipline. Students can explore more specialized topics, including (but not limited to) network and database administration or information security analysis. 研究生s of the BSCS program will be prepared to apply their knowledge to related 计算 domains and meet new technical challenges.

Student Outcomes

Students graduating from this program should be able to:

• Analyze a complex 计算 problem and to apply principles of 计算 and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
• 设计, 实现, and evaluate a 计算-based solution to meet a given set of 计算 requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
• Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
• Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in 计算 practice based on legal and ethical principles.
• Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program's discipline.
